We can act as your General Contractor, meaning, we handle the entire job. We are responsible for the overall coordination of the project, from applying for your building permits to hiring subcontractors and everything in between. We coordinate the subcontractors for grading and excavating your property, installing your well and septic, or managing the hook ups to your local sewer and water, setting your modular or building your home, installing your heating systems, plumbing and electrical. Your contract with us would include a price for the entire job.

The other option would be for us to do the building of your home or buying and setting of your modular and you do all the rest. Your contract with us would only include the framing of your home or buying and setting of your modular.

This is a home built from bottom up on your building site.

Many people have asked me: what does a custom home mean? It’s pretty simple. Every home to us is a custom home because each home is built specific for each individual customer.

However, in terms of modular homes, a custom modular home is a little different. When you decide to purchase a modular home from Wolfe Modular Homes, you can either purchase a standard home or an upgraded home. A standard home is any modular that comes standard according to the manufacturers specifications, which usually means vinyl flooring in the kitchen and baths, oak cabinetry, carpet in the remainder of the home, chrome faucets, hollow core doors, and standard siding, windows and trim.

An upgraded modular home is any model that you have requested upgrades to, thus making your modular home a custom modular home. Nowadays, you can have pretty much anything you want in your modular home, from hardwood floors to granite countertops.

A modular home is a home built in sections, off site in a factory. The sections are built indoors where they are never subjected to adverse weather conditions. The sections move through the factory, with the company’s quality control department checking them every step of the way. The finished sections are then covered, loaded onto a flatbed truck and transported to your building site, joined and completed by Wolfe Builders, Inc. There are several modular home manufacturers to choose from and we can work with any of them.
